When you think of marble, the word “pricey” comes to mind but it doesn’t have to be that way. This chic and sophisticated look can easily be achieved with the help of con-tact paper. In this video, I show you how I easily transformed my ceramic vase into a marble masterpiece with no hassle or mess.
Materials I Used:
- Marble con-tact paper
- Copper con-tat paper
- Copper Spray paint
- Blue scotch painters tape
- A ruler
- Scissors
To achieve this faux look Fi wiped the vase with a damp cloth to remove any excess dirt or dust. Then I measured the vase from the bottom to the top. After that, I took my measurements and cut the exact amount of marble con-tact paper I needed to cover the area I wanted. Then I started peeling the back off the marble con-tact paper while slowly glueing the other side to the vase.
The great thing about con-tact paper on ceramic is that if you make a mistake or have too many bubbles, you can redo the process over again and it won’t be a waste of paper. The easiest way for me was to stick little by little and smooth the ends with my thumbs to remove any trapped air.
Once I had the vase cover in marble, I taped around the top edge and spray painted it with copper spray paint. It dried in about 15 minutes and to finish it off and added copper con-tact paper to the bottom edge.
This was an easy makeover that required few products and crafting mess. I hope you enjoy this DIY project as much as I did. If you have any questions or concerns let me known in the comments and don’t forget to subscribe and follow me on social media.
