Here’s more details on my experience with The Babydust Method, what we did to increase our chances of conceiving a girl and some extra tips on finding out the gender early.
First off, I just want to say that this method doesn’t always work and If you are not ready to accept any gender then don’t do it. Gender disappointment is real and there’s nothing worse than to be pregnant and depressed. We weren’t sure we wanted anymore kids because our twins are a handful and we did not want to end up with twins again. Also, his family is full of boys so I thought my chances of having a girl were pretty slim. Ultimately, I truly felt that I wasn’t done having kids so we just winged it and said whatever it is, it’ll be a blessing.
During my Google research I ran into The Babydust Method by Kathryn Taylor and decided to join their Facebook group. After reading daily success stories from women that had followed her method, I decided to give it a try. What’s it about? Well Kathryn has a super affordable book based on the latest scientific evidence of natural gender selection. It’s a quick and easy read about how to track your cycle and get the gender you desire. There’s no expensive treatment behind this method, it’s really all about timing, and y’all can purchase it on Amazon as a paperback or kindle version.
Here’s a little summary:
According to the experts, the male sperms(Y) swim faster than girl sperms(X) but girl sperms live longer. With that said, if you have sex days before you ovulate, your chances of having a girl are higher because most boy sperms will have died by the time the egg falls. Whereas, if you have sex the day you ovulate or any time afterwards, your chances of having a boy are greater.
The book teaches you how to use ovulation strips to identify your exact peak hours for conceiving. I wasn’t THAT committed so I never purchased the strips, I just used a basic ovulation app called GET BABY. This app has nothing to do with the method. It’s just a generic app that shows me the days I’m ovulating, what days I have a high chance conceiving, and when my period is due. I’ve never been on birth control and my period has always been consistent so the app was always on point with its calculations. If you are very serious and this will be your last baby, I recommend buying the test strips because that will provide the most accurate representation of your cycle.
Also, you’re only supposed to have sex when its time to conceive but, lets be real, my husband (nor yours) is going to be down with the idea of only doing it once or twice a month so we just used protection all other days. For three consecutive months, we did it three days prior to ovulating and the egg did not stick so in the last month we did it 4 days prior and again 2 days prior and I got pregnant.
When I saw the first ultrasound photo at 13 weeks, I was convinced it was a boy because the baby looked just like the twins. I posted the ultrasound photo in the Facebook group Nub Theory: The Gender Nub Specialist and everyone predicted it was a girl. Between 11-13 weeks, all babies have a nub between their legs called the genital tubercle and the angle of the nub indicates the gender. The later in the weeks, the more accurate are the predictions by 94%. At that point, I was confident it was a girl but waited for my DNA blood test results to confirm. Here’s a link with more details about the Nub Theory.
Women in the Babydust Method Facebook group have also altered their diet to increase their chances even more. I didn’t really look much into this practice so I don’t know how effective it is but doesn’t hurt to try.
And without any dirty details, that’s how we conceived our baby girl. I hope this post helps y’all achieve the gender you desire and if it doesn’t, well that’s just how it was meant to be. Stay positive and enjoy your new baby!
